New Joomla 1.5 Specific Component

We have decided to split the hwdVideoShare into two main releases. One for Joomla1.0 and one for Joomla1.5. The Joomla1.5 version is not completely native yet however, now that we have a separate release we expect this to happen fairly quickly! The installation has already been modified so that the component installes without legacy support however, there are still functions used throughout the code that require the legacy plugin enabled. These functions will be systematically removed until the component is completely native.

The decision to split was taken when it become apparent that having a single package was holding back the development of the software. When new features are developed they will be added into both versions however, the coding structure of the two packages is expected to change significantly as we utilies the new framework of Joomla1.5.

Integrated SH404SEF and ARTIO support in new update

The new update for Joomla 1.0 has integrated support for the SH404SEF and ARTIO Joomla extensions. If you are using either of these two popular SEF tools please upgrade for support. Your URLs should automatically be friendly after you upgrade. If you have any comments about our SEF integrations please contact us.

New Component Update for Joomla 1.0

There is a new component update for Joomla 1.0. This update is hwdVideoShare-1.1.4 Alpha RC3.1. The update include the full and free version and also the versions for PHP4 and PHP5 compatibility. Please update now. This update includes integrated support for the CORE, SH404SEF and ARTIO JOOMSEF Components. It also includes bug fixes for the FTP and Remote import tools. The SWF format videos have also been given better support. See the changelog here.

Dutch, French, Vietnamese, Serbian & Czech Languages Published

The updated language plugins for Dutch, French, Vietnamese, Serbian & Czech have been published. They are free for everyone to download in our language download category.

New style carousel modules

Our modules are being updated for our latest release with a new style. The updates will bring our modules inline with the more dymanic features from websites like YouTube, Revver and other popular video sharing websites. The modules will now operate using Bill Scott's dynamic carousel style. Check out the demo of this on our Video Sharing demo site.

Templates, plugins and languages updated for hwdVideoShare-1.1.4 Alpha RC3.0

All the hwdVideoShare plugins have been updated for compatibility with our latest release - hwdVideoShare-1.1.4 Alpha RC3.0. After you upgrade to this new version will need to upgrade your hwdVideoShare plugins. Please un-install your old plugins, download the latest versions and then re-install!

Mambot Updated

The Mambot has been updated for hwdVideoShare-1.1.4 Alpha RC3.0. The update includes a couple of additional tweeks for bugs that caused problems for the Joomla 1.5 plugin.
