There is a new major point update for hwdVideoShare. Download and upgrade to hwdVideoShare-1.1.4 Alpha RC3.0 now. It has had a significant code restructure and many feature improvments. The main benefit of this update is the new configuration files - which mean all your settings will be preserved during upgrades in the future.

There are also a number of backend improvments. These include better FTP and remote file support, and the ability to upload custom thumbnails for videos. You can also use FFMPEG to re-generate thumbnail at any specified point in the video.

Group access features to categories have also been improved - so webmasters can specify which Joomla groups can view and access individual categories. You can also specify a different group setting for who can upload to the group.
