Highwood Design believes that maintaining good contact with our community is very important. In the past we have tried to give full support for all members of our community regardless of whether they subscribe to this website or not.

Since our creation in December 2007 our open source software products have become very popular. The level of interest has increased dramatically with each new release. This resulted in most of our resources being tied up in forum and email responses. This was not acceptable for a number of reasons.

• We had very little time to make significant new developments to hwdVideoShare
• Development of new software virtually stopped
• Response times to emails and forums were not consistently high

Technical Support in Forum for Subscribers Only

We decided to only allow write access in the forums to subscribing members who are willing to pay for support. This basically means that only people who are willing to financially contribute to our project will be given technical support. Free account holders will still be able to access the forums and read previous responses, but will not be able to start new topics or post in existing discussions.

Most people have very similar problems and it is likely that the solutions to common problems will be discussed anyway. However, we can no longer give our time to free technical support.

Can I call Highwood Design to discuss something?

No. We only provide an online response service. The programming/support staff that are employed by the hwdMediaShare project all work remotely from different global locations. We are not a large company, and simply don't have the resources to offer this type of service.
