I cannot give link to live site issue because I cannot afford to have it showing...but the newest videoshare modules when published on the same page as the RSGAllery2 latest photos maks the RSGallery module throw this error



This is not good - as the older version played perfectly with all others??
I am publishing the Datalist for most recent videos on the left of my template and the rsgallery on the right ----

I just confrimed that if I publish them both in teh same module position...the one that is lower in the ordering throws the same error ---

so something about both don't have the proper checking for the pear script already being executed I am assuming?

I am having the exact same issue. Any advice on how to work around this would be great.

I have not solved this yet. Basically -- this upgrade has rendered my frontpage useless for shwoing the most recent picgtures and videos....!!!

Yes, hwdVideoShare now uses a class called PEAR in the YouTube plugin. When a YouTube video is watched, this class will be called. If another package also defines this class, a fatal error will be produced.

There are two options:
1) Rename the class in hwdVideoShare (or RSGallery2). I know the class in hwdVideoShare is small so it would be easy to rename.
2) Before calling the class - check if the class is already defined. (I expect they are the same)

I will try to do this (option 1) before the end of the week and add it to the Nightly Build.

Which version of hwdVideoShare are you using?

Third - my version - I am unsure - but I downloaded and installed the latest version as of Saturday I think...

adding a line that checks for the pear class would be the way to go I think...but I will await your changes...

If it is really urgent - and you are feeling adventurous - you can get involved with the code yourself and use this function:

There are good examples on this page which inform you how to check if a class has been defined.

If things go wrong you can just do a reinstall.

You would only need to edit files in this directory:
JoomlaRoot/components/com_hwdvideoshare/core/youtube/
