Hi Davros,... first let me say the new demo stuff is looking very cool, this is becoming a fantastic Joomla component, great work.

As we've been working, a couple of minor questions have come up. I've searched the forums but can't find anything on these, some of which are probably pretty basic;

1. Our videos are all third party url links to our server. None of the videos are finding or displaying thumbnails, only the black video screen with white arrow. How do we fix it so the video displays a thumbnail of the movie?

2. I saw the RevenueManager, very cool. We are using version hwdVideoShare 2.1.1 Build 21102 Alpha [ Karetu ] what is the best way to use Revmanager with this version?

3. I see in the "Settings" tab there is a checkbox for "show next & pervious" video links, but can not see where or how that is affected on the frontend?

4. The Seyret component offers a way to post the Being Watched module to the frontpage... can this be done, or a new feature to come?

5. Can we edit/modify category images? As I see it, when you upload the first video to that category, that image becomes the default category image.

We also think hwdVideoShare is really progressing well! Lets hope we have a finished, stable product be Christmas!

1) In the General Settings under the 'Third Party' tab, make sure 'Verify Third Party Thumbs Exist' to 'No'. Does this help?

4) This will be added in the next version.

5) Not yet, we are considering allowing the administrator to upload a custom category thumbnail. However, this is not a priority at the moment. Our main priority is bug fixing, stability and getting Joomla 1.5 native!

The third party settings do not make a difference. We can wait on all other fixes, but this is a little frustrating, any other ideas would be appreciated.

First of all I should check you are referring to the thumbnails in the main component - and not the ones in the modules. The old modules are not compatible with this new version and need to be uninstalled. We are finishing up the new modules at the moment and will release updated versions of hwdMediaShare that include the new modules.

(The new software has a system to determine if the modules and plugins are compatible and will display a compatibility notice if they need updating.)

I should also check that when you upgraded to the new version you uninstalled the old version and reinstalled the new one through the Joomla installation tool. I.e. Not just copying the new files to replace the old ones.
